Robert Jervis, Professor of International Politics at Columbia University, delves into the intelligence failures that circumvented our efforts during the Iranian Revolution and Weapons of Mass Destruction assessment, prompting our most recent Iraq War. Recently de-classified files reveal the flaws in our strategical thinking and action that ultimately resulted in prolonged engagement and political instability in both Iran and Iraq. Our challenges continue in both of these countries and Jervis provides the historical context causing for a greater understanding of these conflicts.
