Weekend Fun for the Young & Progressive

We’re in for a crisp and gorgeous autumn weekend, which means it’s the perfect time to frolic (and canvas) door-to-door! Here’s how you can help out in key races this weekend:

Keep Pennsylvania Blue – A slew of progressive groups are deploying members to Lehigh Valley, PA this Saturday (and EVERY Saturday through November) to canvas for President Obama.

Details: Buses leave at 8am from Union Square East at 15th Street (across from Babies ‘R Us) RSVP here.
Reclaim Congress – Criss-cross Brooklyn with other New York Dems in support of Mark Murphy, who is running to oust embattled Tea Party Congressman Michael Grimm.

Details: Come to 526 72nd St. (b/t 5th & 6th Ave.), Bayside, Brooklyn
any time between 11a and 3p. E-mail volunteer@electmarkmurphy.com or call (718) 273-0424 to RSVP.

NY State Senate Red to Blue – Help boot Tea Party radical and anti-marriage equality State Senator Greg Ball by volunteering for Justin Wagner. (*Bonus – this district overlaps with the hotly contested congressional race between Sean Patrick Maloney and ultra-conservative Nan Hayworth.)

Details: Volunteers will meet under the clock at Grand Central at 10:15a to head up north. Email Lenny at lenny@actnowny.org to volunteer.
