Please join the Manhattan Young Democrats at our third annual Engendering Progress, honoring women leaders, activists and trailblazers!
Women’s news has been scary lately. Hillary Clinton said it best at the recent Women in the World Summit at Lincoln Center, “It is hard to believe that even here at home, we have to stand up for women’s rights and reject efforts to marginalize any one of us, because America needs to set an example for the entire world.”
Come stand up for women’s rights with MYD at Engendering Progress — this Wednesday, March 21st, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Greenhouse, 150 Varick Street in Manhattan (21+).
Our inspiring honorees fighting the good fight include:
Hollaback! — A movement dedicated to ending street harassment using mobile technology.
Catalyst – A leading nonprofit organization expanding opportunities for women in business.
EngenderHealth — A global reproductive health organization working to improve the quality of health care in more than 20 countries around the world.
We are also thrilled to have City Councilmember Jessica Lappin, who worked to pass legislation to strengthen protections for women seeking reproductive healthcare in NYC, as our keynote speaker.
Buy your tickets today to skip the line at the door! Online sales end at Noon on the 21st.
$5 for MYD members, $15 for non-members, $20 for yearly MYD membership + free admission to Engendering Progress!
