Since Election Day, the Obama campaign has transitioned into a grassroots organization that mobilizes citizens of all parties and diverse points to speak out for speedy passage and effective implementation of the national agenda Americans voted for in November. Issues include gun control, sensible environmental policies to address climate change, and immigration reform. Organizing for Action, as it is now called, brings the tools, knowledge, networks, and volunteers from the campaign to the fight to enact the President’s agenda.
Below is a message from Executive Director Jon Carson, who will be visiting this coming Monday – right at MYD’s usual haunt, the Liberty! Come out to support grassroots organizing and President Obama – and show the leaders of OFA that they can count on our generation’s rising stars: Manhattan’s Young Democrats!
Next week, I’ll be in New York City visiting with folks about the great work Organizing for Action is doing. While I’m in town, I wanted to have a chance to invite some of OFA’s biggest supporters in the city to join me for a small reception.
