Unless you have been oblivious to the news of the past 48 hours, you know that breast cancer charity Susan G. Komen — which holds a”race for the cure” in New York City every year — has ended its partnership with Planned Parenthood and will not renew their grant, which provided access to breast cancer screenings for women across the country. Komen claims this decision has nothing to do with politics, but the public isn’t buying it. Their CEO, Nancy Brinker, is a Republican. Their vice president, Karen Handel, is anti-choice.
