Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) is the current junior U.S. Senator for the state of New York. Maloney, a Democrat who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1993. Her district includes most of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Astoria and Long Island City in Queens and Roosevelt Island. Rep.
