The fight for equality is universal. The rights people deserve are consistent in every country or state – the challenge becomes each society’s pursuit for those universal rights. Here in New York, the Manhattan Young Democrats are pursuing this just cause of marriage equality, as any two people who love each other should have the same rights this union creates, be them of the same or different sexes. Just Another Straight Kid(s), Marching For Equality
Ben, Julie, and I headed down to Washington this past weekend to March for Equality. It was an amazing weekend–we attended Camp Courage, hosted by California’s illustrious Courage Campaign on Saturday, and then marched with tens of thousands of LGBT rights supporters in the National Equality March (#NEM). We’ve posted our photos, and you can watch the speeches and extensive coverage on the Equality Across America website and NYTimes. If you haven’t already, join their campaign — EAA is doing great work and we ALL need to work to end discrimination against the LGBT community.
