MYD General Meeting Tomorrow Night!

Tuesday’s Monthly General Meeting & Happy Hour

MYD 2010 Policy Platform – Up For Review!
Our Issues Oriented Committees have been working hard on their policy platforms and we’ve been able to narrow and focus our goals to a few key policy points. A quick tear-sheet of the platform is available for download (2010 Platform Tearsheet – 8.17.10), full descriptions are available on the website HERE (where you can also check out the 2009 Policy Platforms). At tomorrow’s General Meeting the IOC chairs will go over their platform and we will have the opportunity to discuss them. If you’re interested in helping frame the issues that are important you as a Young Democrat we encourage you to join the committees so we can start planning activities and advocating on these ideas. Meeting TOMORROW, New Location!
Via Elizabeth Kanter, MYD’s Event Director: Was your weekend a blur of soccer, ahem, football ‘fans’ running amok? Did any bar with a TV spontaneously turn into the 4 train during rush hour? Well we have your place of refuge tomorrow night – join MYD for our monthly meeting and drinks at our fun NEW, larger venue: RS Lounge! While we sit in the cool A/C, we’ll be talking about the upcoming campaign season, upcoming Issue Committee events, and our newly-formed Good Government Task Force to fight corruption in NY politics. MYD Meeting Tonight! New Location!
Quick reminder that tonight’s General Meeting is at a new location: MYD General Meeting and Post-meeting Drinks Van Diemens – 383 3rd Avenue, near 28th Street (map) 7:00 – 8:00pm, drinks begin at 8:00pm MYD Directors and IOC Chairs will be giving an update. About Last Night
So last night was the monthly MYD general meeting, which from watching the reaction of President Benninghoff as more and more new faces arrived, was a really great turnout – and at least speaking for the New Media team, that got us pretty pumped. We were also quite psyched to match faces to email addresses, as well as make some new friends and laugh at some new jokes as the Guinness was flowing at PS 450 afterwards.
