I wanted to bring the most recent Foreign Affairs Committee event to the attention of MYD’s avid Blog readers! This is going to be a really great one! The day-long training is only $20 with lunch included.

Saturday, July 10, 2010
10:00am – 4:00pm
Democratic HQ – 461 Park Avenue South, 10th Floor

Please join us this Saturday as welcome the TNSP for a day long workshop dealing with current military issues and issues of foreign policy.

The Truman National Security Project is a national security leadership institute, the nation’s only organization that recruits, trains, and positions a new generation of progressives across America to lead on national security.

Our mission is to provide the skills, knowledge, and network to create an influential force of leaders across the country who advance strong progressive national security policy.

Fight for Fredom

The (Costume) Party of No last night was awesome. Cindy McCain, Miss California, Teddy Roosevelt,
Michael Steele, Sarah Palin (to the 3rd power), one polo enthusiast, many rich folk, and a few tea-partiers attended – amongst many others.

For one night – one glorious night – the Republican party was full of promise, diversity, and specially priced drinks.

And I, for the first time in my life, found the inner patriotism of a solid mustache, a distaste for Obama, and a total disconnection from reality.

Real American

and if YOU love fredom as much as I do, as much as everyone shoold -
pick up your own apparel too, and fight some Tyranny, we the people!

Show your support for YDA’s DNC Committee Woman Stephanie Hauser & NYC Council Candidate Kevin Kim

Filed under Only in NY, Young Gets It Done

From time to time, we at MYD like to share events put on by other organizations throughout the city. We know we aren’t the only ones who can throw a huge party.

Youth involvement in politics doesn’t just mean lobbying our elected officials and starting grassroots movements. It means becoming elected officials! Town Council may not seem like the biggest most important race to some of you, but future leaders like Stephanie need to start local and grow from there. We started local with the Open Seat Project, putting about 80 MYDers on the ballot.
