There’s great news from the New York State of Health. As of this morning, more than half a million people — 501,205 to be precise — have enrolled in NYS Marketplace insurance. (See more in the NYSoH press release below)
We are almost half-way there, and every call you make or event you participate in brings us all the closer!
In addition to tonight’s phone bank at Kate Linker’s Loft (227 W. 17th Street, Sixth Floor from 6:30 – 8:30 pm) we have opportunities this weekend to work with faith based organizations, arranged by Get Covered NY organizer, Tasha Williams. Tasha points out that after March 31, the uninsured may have to wait, depending on their circumstances, until next year to get coverage.
Because we only have less than four weeks to get uninsured people enrolled for 2014 insurance, please volunteer with us this weekend:New York City Clergy Roundtable Conference
Dates: Friday March 7 and Saturday March 8
Tabling Times: 8am – 3:00pm
Location: Riverside Church, Claremont Entrance at 91 Claremont Avenue (at W. 122nd)
Please consider volunteering for at least a two hour time slots on either or both days.
To sign-up, call volunteer coordinator Tasha Williams at 917-289-0973
or email her at [email protected]
