Yesterday Senator Lieberman held a press conference saying that he was confident DADT repeal would get the 60 votes needed to avoid a filibuster. The Senator said “he’s received assurances from GOP senators Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Richard Lugar (R-Ind.).”
There are also reports out that Senator Ensign and Senator Murkowski will vote to allow the repeal to receive an up or down vote on the Senate floor. Things are moving in the right direction but a vote is still weeks away so we need to maintain the energy and enthusiasm for repeal. How can you help?
