Kim Moscaritolo President:
Kim Moscaritolo

Kim joined MYD in December of 2009 and instantly fell in love with grassroots politics. She served as both Community Service Director and Secretary before being elected President this year. She proudly serves as a Democratic County Committeewoman in her neighborhood thanks to MYD’s Open Seat Project. She’s lived in New York City since 2002 and has a B.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Florida. Her greatest political accomplishment has been playing Nancy Pelosi in the political satire Life After Bush.

Ahmed Tigani Vice President:
Dan Beksha
 

Dan joined MYD in 2009 when he moved to NYC post college. He has served as both Development Director and Chair of the Community and Social Equity (CASE) committee before being elected Vice President this year. A native of Massachusetts, he’s glad to have found a new home in the progressive enclave of the West Village. Dan has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago (where he was lucky enough to be a neighbor of then Senator Obama).

Christina Chang Treasurer:
Christina Chang

Christina moved from San Diego to New York in the Fall of 2004. She attended Barnard College, where she majored in psychology and political science. Since graduating in 2008, she has worked in both the legal and financial sectors. She joined MYD in December 2010, and has been an active participant in both the Environmental Issues Committee and the Women’s Issues Committee. She looks forward to serving in this role and to ensuring that MYD continues to have the resources it needs to champion progressive causes.

Secretary:
Cory Evans

Cory joined MYD in 2010 after moving back to New York from Washington, where he worked for a Democratic Congressman from Upstate New York. He is a Democratic County Committeeman in the 73rd Assembly District, a Member-At-Large of the Executive Board of the Lexington Democratic Club, and a Public Member of the Housing and Public Safety Committee of Community Board 8. Cory received a Masters Degree in Political Philosophy from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His favorite hobby is chess and he was proud to earn the title of National Master in 2011.
