So: You’re Young. You’re Progressive. And you’ve decided MYD might be for you.
There are so many ways to get plugged in to MYD and help make our mission a reality. Here’re your options. Figure out what works best for you and use the form at the bottom of this page to sign up with our Development Director, Jamie Ansorge.
Friend of MYD: You’re signed up for our weekly newsletter. You root us on. You might even come to a meeting or two.
MYD Member: You’re a dues paying, voting, committee serving full fledged member.
MYD Members pay dues once a year in the sum of 35 dollars. You can pay your dues on the website or at one of our events. Paying your dues gives you discounted access to our many events–trust us, you’ll make back the money! You’ll also get to vote when issues are brought to the membership.
GrowMYD Member: You’re playing a key role in the organization by assisting with membership outreach and fundraising in exchange for increased access to events as well as other privileges.
There are three ways to participate in the GrowMYD program (you have one year to meet your goal effective the day you sign up):
1. Commit to raise or write 250 dollars
2. Commit to recruit 10 additional members
3. Commit to give a reoccurring donation of 20 dollars a month
Other Opportunities: In addition to these three membership options, there are many other opportunities to help us grow MYD. There are a variety of issues committees. You can run for office by joining Project X. You can also get involved on Director-led teams (from New Media, to Special Events, to Community Service). All of these teams identify new ways to expand our outreach and impact our community.
