We’re looking for great people to join our team. If you’re interested in getting more involved with MYD this year, take a look at our open positions below. Applications are due Friday, February 27th at 5pm. The Officers will be conducting interviews on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Director Descriptions (in no particular order):
Political Director – The Political Director is responsible for assisting the Executive Board in tracking elections, candidates, appointments, and any legislative issues of interest to MYD. The Political Director will work closely with the Open Seat Project Director to ensure that Open Seat Project 2015 is a success. The Political Director and/or team members will attend outside organization meetings and ensure MYD has a strong presence locally.
Open Seat Project Director – The Open Seat Project Director will work closely with the Political Director and serve as a liaison between MYD and Manhattan political clubs to ensure the success of Open Seat 2015. More information on the Open Seat Project here. In 2013, MYD placed over 80 people on County Committee. We’d like to see this number increased in 2015.
Finance Director – The Finance Director is responsible for assisting the Executive Board in raising funds by tracking donors and finding new sources of funding for the organization. The Finance Director will work closely with the Events Director and Treasurer in planning fundraisers.
Events Director – The Events Director is responsible for planning and executing all events for the organization. These events may include, but are not limited to, fundraisers, conventions, general meetings, and campaign invasions. The Events Director will work closely with the Finance Director and Treasurer in planning fundraisers.
Creative Director – The Creative Director is responsible for developing design and branding assets for MYD and for developing the long term branding and visual messaging strategy for MYD. Anything produced by the organization for public consumption, with the exception of standard documents on letterhead, must have consult of Creative Director. The Creative Director should have prior design experience.
Development Director – The Development Director is responsible for planning and executing membership building activities. The Development Director, in conjunction with the Treasurer, will maintain up-to-date membership lists and conduct on-going outreach to new and existing members and will explore new ways to grow membership.
Community Service Director – The Community Service Director is responsible for coordinating volunteering opportunities for MYD and its membership as well as developing long term partnerships with community organizations.
Digital Director – The Digital Director is responsible for MYD’s online presence. The Digital Director shall work closely with the Communications Director to create original content and targeted information campaigns to meet the club’s goals. The Digital Director will also be in charge of basic website maintenance and other digital assets such as gomyd.com email addresses, twitter, Facebook, etc. The Digital Director should have previous experience working on digital campaigns.
Communications Director – The Communications Director is responsible for media outreach, messaging, and the distribution of information to the membership. The Communications Director will work closely with the Digital Director and Officers to ensure consistent and adequate messaging.
Issues Assembly Director – The Issues Assembly Director is responsible for running the MYD Issues Assembly, which is a monthly meeting to discuss legislative and political issues that are of interest to MYD’s membership. The Issues Assembly will coordinate with the Political Director, the Communications Director, and the Digital Director to create impactful issue advocacy campaigns.
Programming Director – The Programming Director is responsible for Learning Labs programing. The Programming Director shall provide coordination and support for all of the skill and professional development classes MYD offers. The Programming Director ensures that curriculums for new classes are adequately recorded for later use.

How committed will you be as a member — how would you be able to fit your leadership responsibilities within your current schedule?
