What Citizens Will Conclude

Unfortunately, the GOP+1 attorney has already filed an appeal, so it looks like the order has been … More >>

Politics 3.0: Just Too Cheesy/Awesome Not To Post

Putting aside the pros and cons of gov’t efforts to leverage social media for citizen outreach, my favorite part is the range of perspectives offered up in the comments on the YouTube page itself:  aliceperez25: tax dollars hard at work. i’m overjoyed.  dphdoptdk: This is cool! Awesome!  browncoat697: This was a parody put out by the government. That seems a bit strange, yet it lets us know that? the government is only mostly out of touch… neva69eva: no man. this ain’t no parody.  The glisses up? on the piano while the actual sound of the piano glisses down. Hmm… And this one gets extra points for some seriously astute observation skills:  madad0406: The glisses up on the piano while the actual sound of the piano … More >>

TFGIF

We’re wrapping up week three of the New York State Senate gridlock. And all I can say is: TFGIF.  Despite suggestions earlier today that a power-sharing deal was in the offing, Senator Espada, flanked by Senator Skelos, emerged from talks early afternoon to tell reporters the following:  “We don’t have an agreement, but we’ve certainly made commitments to work through the weekend,” Espada told reporters. “Sen. Smith is meeting with his conference. We’ll continue to talk throughout the day and throughout the weekend. We are making progress.” “Part of the discussion focused in on the misinformation that’s out there. So let’s be very clear about what’s happening. What’s happening is, and we’ve been repeating this as a mantra, is that … More >>

“Don’t Vote For Pedro” Shirts – Order Yours Now!

You read about it on The Daily Politics or a whole bunch of other places. And you thought: Damn, I want one of those! Then Pedro Espada Jr wrangled his way into being the leader of the Senate, apparently a Democrat again, and you thought: DAMN, I REALLY WANT ONE OF THOSE. Pay tribute to America’s most audacious DINO while he serves out the rest of his last term in elected office. They should be arriving now, and will run you $20. Available sizes are S, M, L, and XL – – but to choose XL you have to select “Ego” in tribute to Pedro. Having said that, I’d like to set aside any money raised off of this effort … More >>
